THE CANTEEN WALKOUT

THE NEW GIRL WHO CAME IN.......

CHAPTER-4

"She was so special for me and that's why I never wanted to loose her. She was the perfect one for me, we thought in the same way, I always feel that she is the right one for me".

This is not my words, it was told by Harry when he narrated his story. When I heard the word PERFECT, I felt like laughing out loud but I didn't. Perfect is not a real thing, nothing and no one can be perfect. Everyone has their own faults and shortcomings. I believe that there is no perfect person, perfect love or a perfect relationship which exist. Everything has its own positive and negative sides. So how can someone say that she or he was perfect? This is my perspective about people and my perspective becomes less important since this is not my story. Whatever I have to say is that, there is nothing called a perfect relationship or a perfect pair, everything has its own merits and demerits. And every person has his bright and dark sides. So try not to call something perfect because when "the perfect" does not give us what we expected, we will go into depression and we start cursing and hating ourselves.

After that night's conversation and all, Harry's feelings for Jane grew into another level. He started believing that, she was in love with him and one day she will confess her love. But on the opposite side she was confused whether to be friends with him or to leave his friendship. She was not sure about anything. Harry acted normal before Jane and never gave her a suspicion about his feeling for her. His love towards her grew day by day, and she started enjoying his company again. And some where inside her she too started developing a like towards Harry. Because he was always there for her, expecting nothing in return. Whenever she was sick, he took good care of her, whenever she was mentally down he cheered her, he supported her and she found herself much comfortable with him. She believed that she was falling in love with Harry, but she waited to get an approval from herself. At this phase of their so called "friendship" when I saw them together multiple times riding on my bike, I asked Harry about their relationship and he answered me that they are just friends. I have mentioned this in previous chapters.

Everything was going fine between Harry and Jane, and one day the Villain came in. One day Harry phoned Jane and she was busy. He called her multiple times but she was busy for a long time and after a couple of hours she called him back, Harry asked

"Very busy huh?? Was that a call from home?

"No..No it was my classmate John" she replied

Harry felt like a lighting struck him. He had a thousand of questions in his mind to ask, but couldn't.

"Hello...what happened"? she asked.

 "Nothing" Harry replied

"Okay, if you don't mind shall we talk tomorrow, I am so tired since I talked to him for more than an hour"

"More than an hour?????" Harry wanted to ask but again, he didn't.

He said an"Okay" and they hung up the call wishing good night. But for Harry, it was the worst night. He started thinking about, What might they have spoke for an hour? Are they in a relationship? Will she leave me? etc etc....

He remembered that once Jane told him that John proposed her and she denied that proposal. But there are chances for her to develop feelings for him. They are classmates, they spend more time together. A feeling of insecurity started to grow in his mind. He went before the mirror and looked at himself, John is much good looking than you, there is no wrong if Jane is attracted to him, his inferiority complex started to speak. Harry became insecure and restless, he wanted to know about every bit of conversation they had at that night. But he did not have the courage to call her again or message her asking this. Because he said that he have no feelings for her and they are friends only. And now suddenly if he become possessive and start asking questions, that might result in the thing he is most afraid of, she will leave him. However he spent that night on his bed and the next day morning he went to college. He wanted to talk to Jane and he wanted to know about her conversation with John. He went to the canteen and was having tea with his friends, at that time he saw John entering the canteen, Harry avoided John's presence but Jane also entered the canteen and sat with John. This sent tremors through the nerves of Harry, he had mixed feeling of anger and grieve. And out of anger he kept his tea half drunk and stood up to leave. His friends asked him what happened, without replying them he went outside. While he passed by Jane, she saw him and called him, but he didn't stop. He walked away like he didn't hear anyone.

Now I know that the problem is going to get more complex. Jealousy, possessiveness, inferiority complex, and confusion, what else do you need to ruin a beautiful relationship?

To be contd.........
